THE XX - CRYSTALISED

L'album degli XX è stato indubbiamente uno dei debutti più interessanti della fine dell'anno appena trascorso. Di tutti i pezzi del disco merita particolare attenzione Crystalised, che dà una chiara idea di cosa aspettarsi da questo LP. Drum machine leggere accompagnate da ritmo dub, che con alcuni accordi di chitarra poco più che accennati e un basso spasmodicamente malinconico cullano l'ascoltatore con una musica ovattata e sognante.
Crystalised è un pezzo fresco, con forti rimandi ai Portishead e ai primi Cure. L'alternanza delle due voci al canto, diverse ma complementari, lo trasforma in uno dei brani più sexy del 2009.



Ascoltatevi tutto l'album se vi piace il genere. In particolare VCR, le cui atmosfere Velvet Underground sono veramente da apprezzare.
